🌲 We Found It, But We Can’t Keep It (Without Help)

After years of searching, we found the perfect piece of land: in the forest, in total silence. But we can’t afford it. Not without help. This is our story.

We found it. A place where we don’t have to run from noise.
No yelling neighbors, barking dogs, or buzzing scooters.
No pavement, no screens, no rush. Just stillness. Real stillness.

Right in the forest, on the border. Abandoned. Overgrown. Untouched. It feels like nature wrapped its arms around it and said:
“You may come, but only if you come gently.” We both felt it: this is it. Not just a dream, not just a hope. A chance. A chance to live.
To finally recover from years of overstimulation, forced dependence, and never truly having a place to call home.

But we can’t afford it.vThe rent is €200 per month. To many people, that might sound like a bargain. To us, it’s impossible.

We live on €1500 net per month, together. €450 of that goes to my mother, who receives social welfare. She gets heavily penalized for us still being registered at her address, even though we don’t want to live here. We just have nowhere else.

What’s left goes toward food, insurance, basic needs, and caring for our dog. There’s no room for saving. No room to move forward.

The land is wild and so are we

The plot has been unused for seven years. It’s completely overgrown. You can barely walk through it. There’s no path, no entry. But it’s alive. And we could give it life.

With our hands. With our old camper. With our full hearts and everything we’ve got. We’re not asking for luxury. We’re asking for a chance to settle.  To build something that is truly ours; slowly, from the ground up.

Would you be willing to help? We need support. Not much. But just enough to begin.

đź’š Maybe you can spare a small donation
đź’š Maybe you can share this story
💚 Maybe you have something practical to offer — advice, tools, transport

Every bit helps. Because if we can’t make this work, we’ll stay stuck in a life that’s slowly breaking us down.

Why this matters: We’ve lived for years without a place of our own.
No kitchen. No privacy. No quiet. No boundaries that are respected.
We sleep, cook, work, and survive in the same small space.

And all this time, we’ve tried to hold on. Tried to keep believing that something else is possible.

This land -this forgotten, wild place- gave us that feeling for the first time: It exists. It’s real. But without help, it will slip away again.

Thank you for reading. That already means more than you know.
And if there’s anything you can do in any form, please know: You’re not helping us chase some romantic dream. You’re helping us come home.

At last.
